Description

1989-2002 Cummins 12V/24V H Series Rod Bearings (Std .025) Coated. These H and HX Clevite bearings were developed primarily for use in NASCAR type racing but are suitable for all types of competition engines.

H series bearings have a medium level of eccentricity, high crush and rod bearings have a hardened steel back and thin overlay. These bearings also have enlarged chamfers for greater crankshaft fillet clearance and are made without flash plating for better seating.

Details:

  • 1989-2002 Cummins 12V/24V H Series Rod Bearings Coated
  • The HX series bearings have and .001 inch extra clearance

The biggest benefit of coated bearings is preventing damage during cold starts and events where oil starvation is evident. Starting your car is almost the worst thing you can do as the oil has had time to drain out of the engine back into the pan.

The oil is cold and thicker and takes time to get circulated throughout the engine, including to the crank bearings. The added dry film lubricant coating acts as a barrier between the bearing surface and the crank journal.

Other benefits are less friction and longer bearing and crank journal life. The special coating also has moly and other ingredients that retain oil rather than repel it.

This coating process was developed for and is used in race engines, and applied to street and daily-use cars to help yield more durable engines.

The INDUSTRIAL INJECTION PDM-CB-1413HC DODGE H SERIES ROD BEARINGS are specially designed for 1989-2002 Cummins 12V/24V engines, perfectly suited for performance enthusiasts and competitive racers alike. Crafted to meet the rigorous demands of NASCAR-type racing, these coated rod bearings offer exceptional reliability and durability across all types of engine applications.

Featuring standard .025 thickness, these H Series and HX Series Clevite bearings are engineered with a medium level of eccentricity and high crush, ensuring a secure fit in the rod assembly. The hardened steel backing combined with a thin overlay maximizes performance while minimizing weight, allowing your engine to deliver powerful performance without sacrificing efficiency. An enlarged chamfer enhances crankshaft fillet clearance, optimizing oil flow and reducing wear on critical components.

One of the standout features of these bearings is their innovative dry film lubricant coating, which provides a vital barrier between the bearing surface and the crank journal during cold starts. This protective layer significantly reduces the risk of damage when oil circulation is delayed, making it essential for high-performance engines. As the oil thins and circulates, the coating retains oil to further reduce friction, contributing to prolonged bearing and crank journal life.

Moreover, the application of this advanced coating process, previously exclusive to racing engines, brings race-proven technology to street and daily-use vehicles. With reduced friction and improved oil retention, these rod bearings elevate the performance and longevity of your engine.

Sold as a complete set, the INDUSTRIAL INJECTION PDM-CB-1413HC DODGE H SERIES ROD BEARINGS are the ultimate upgrade for anyone looking to enhance their Cummins engine’s performance and durability. Elevate your driving experience with these top-tier rod bearings that seamlessly merge innovation and reliability.
