Why Buy Heat Control from CPP Diesel?
- Diesel-focused curation: Parts that fit 6.7L Cummins packaging and DPF/EGR layouts.
- Real reductions in radiant heat: Better component life, cooler IATs, and more comfortable cabs under load.
- One-stop hardware: Wraps, barriers, sleeves, shields, plus race-legal turbo safety blankets.
Tech Notes & Fitment
- Stock VGT turbos: Full blankets typically aren’t used on the factory HE351VE due to the electronic actuator. For OE VGTs, use clamp-on shields, wraps on the downpipe, and adhesive barriers instead. Blankets are ideal on S300/S400 style conversions.
- Mind the sensors: Avoid covering DPF/EGT/EBP sensors. Use sleeves and barriers to protect nearby wiring/hoses.
- Surface prep: Clean, dry surfaces ensure adhesive barriers stick; use stainless ties or snap straps on wraps.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will a turbo blanket fit my stock 6.7L VGT?
We don’t recommend a full blanket on the OE HE351VE because of actuator/packaging. Use a turbo heat shield or clamp-on shields. Blankets like the BD T4 are great for S300/S400 swap turbos.
What’s the difference between gold and silver barriers?
Gold film is highly reflective for tight spaces near heat sources; silver aluminized barriers are versatile and budget-friendly. See gold 12"x24" and silver 12"x24".
Where should I start on a tow rig?
Wrap the downpipe with 2" wrap, add heat tape near harnesses/hoses, and protect lines with sleeves. Upgrade to a starter shield if you see hot-soak issues.
