Description

The TITAN 0299010 adaption kit is a reliable and essential solution for those looking to upgrade their Ford E-Series vehicles from 1999 to 2010. This kit includes two heavy gauge metal flanges and an O-ring, providing everything needed for the PS-191 adaptation. Designed specifically for the PS-191 sending units, commonly found in various Ford models, particularly E-Series Vans, this kit seamlessly integrates with the Multi-Model Utility diesel fuel tank (8020099), transforming it into an 8020099-191 tank.

Installation involves a minor modification where the suction draw tube of the sending unit needs to be shortened by approximately ½ inch. Additionally, installing the tank in some E-Series vans may require custom modifications or the fabrication of new mounting straps for a perfect fit.

A standout feature of the TITAN 0299010 is its compatibility with modern vehicles equipped with pre-programmed fuel tank capacities. When replacing an OEM tank with TITAN's extra-large capacity tanks, adjustments are needed to ensure accurate distance-to-empty readings. This is achievable through software adjustments with tools like ForScan for 2017+ Fords or assistance from Ford dealerships for models from 2011-2016.

Designed with user needs in mind, TITAN ensures that the advertised fuel capacities reflect actual usable capacity—allowing for safe fuel pickup without misleading information. Each tank, including those developed for specific Ford models, is constructed with care and precision, prioritizing safety and functionality.

The TITAN 0299010 adaption kit not only enhances your vehicle's capability but also embodies efficiency and practicality for a wide range of Ford E-Series models. Experience enhanced performance and optimized fuel management with this expertly crafted solution.

Components to adapt PS-191 Sending units, utilized in some FORD vehicles (especially E-Series Vans), to the Multi-Model Utility diesel fuel tank (8020099). These components are used to change an 8020099 tank to an 8020099-191 tank.

This will require the suction draw tube of the sending unit to be shortened by about ½”, a simple modification. Installation of the tank in some E-Series vans may require modification or even fabrication of mounting straps.

Distance Till Empty and Similar Information
For Mid-Ship Replacement Tanks

Many trucks now come pre-programed with the capacity of the Original Equipment Manufacturers’ (OEM) fuel tank. Replacing the OEM tank with any extra-large capacity, direct replacement tank will result in the distance to empty information being incorrect. This information may be corrected on many trucks.
-2017+ Fords: Customers may use ForScan, a program designed for Ford trucks that allows the computer to be adjusted for the capacity of a TITAN Fuel Tank.
-2011-2016 Fords: Ford dealers can adjust the customer’s capacity using their Ford Motor Company software. These trucks are also compatible with ForScan.
-2019+ Dodge RAMs: Customers may use Alfa OBD, a program designed for RAM trucks that allows the computer to be adjusted for the capacity of a TITAN Fuel Tank.

The Truth About Fuel Capacity

Fuel capacities shown for each and every Titan Fuel Tank are not a claim: it is fact, we show the usable capacity for every tank! In fact, the tanks are larger than their usable capacity. Usable fuel capacity is the portion of the tank that can safely hold fuel and allows the fuel to be picked up by the sending unit. For example, our 7020217 tank for the 2017+ Ford Crew Cab, Short Bed trucks is marketed as a 55 gallon tank. Could it hold more? Yes! Another 5 gallons of capacity exists in the tank, but that capacity is not usable. This 5 gallon area above the filler neck is for expansion/vapor headspace to dissipate the pressure changes in the tank due to temperature and elevation changes. We choose to not mislead our customers and market only the usable capacity, 55 gallons.

We chose to only market usable capacity to set honest and reasonable expectations for our customers.
