FAQ
Is the 1-3/8" input shaft included?Yes. The “5K” in SDD3250-5K-ORG denotes the full kit with the upgraded 1-3/8" input shaft, bearings, and hardware.
How does this drive compared to ceramic/multi-friction kits?
The all-organic facings prioritize smooth, quiet engagement and daily drivability, with substantial holding power for towing.
Will it fit my NV5600?
Per South Bend listings, it fits Non-HO NV5600 (approx. 1999–2000.5). HO NV5600 trucks (2000.5–2005.5) should use the SDD3250-6.
What towing weight can it handle?
Commonly advertised for up to ~30,000 lbs GCW when installed and used correctly. Always monitor EGTs and avoid lugging.
Do I need upgraded hydraulics?
Not strictly required, but HD hydraulics help with consistent release—recommended on older trucks or heavier clamping systems.
