Recommended Supporting Parts
These injectors move a lot of fuel. For best results and component protection, pair with proven supply, high-pressure, and hardware upgrades:
- High-pressure fuel (CP3): Choose a stroker or high-speed CP3 from our curated 5.9 catalog — 03–07 CP3 Injection Pumps
- Lift/low-pressure supply & filtration: See the full 03–07 Fuel System Components (modules, filters, big line kits, fittings)
- Injector line kits / feed tubes: Injector Components (lines, seal kits, connector tubes, install kits) — examples:
- Rail hardware: PRV/test plugs, rails & sensors — 03–07 Fuel Rails & Hardware
Build & Use Notes
- Tuning required. Proper ECU calibration (pulse width, timing, rail pressure) is mandatory with 400% over nozzles.
- Air supply matters. Size turbo(s)/intercooler accordingly to manage EGT and smoke.
- Competition use. Intended for race/competition builds where emissions compliance is not applicable.
FAQ
Will these fit my truck? These are for late 5.9 common-rail Cummins only (model years 2004.5–2007). If your truck is early-2004 or 2003, use the early 5.9 listings instead.
Do I need a bigger CP3 and lift pump?Yes. 400% over injectors require significant low-pressure supply and high-pressure capacity. Start with a performance CP3 and a quality lift pump/filtration system. See 03–07 CP3 Pumps and Fuel System Components.
Are these NEW or reman? This listing is for a NEW set of 6 S&S injectors.
Is tuning required?Absolutely. Safe operation and power output depend on proper ECU calibration (rail pressure control, timing, and pulse width).
What else should I replace during installation? At minimum: new feed tubes/lines as needed, seal kits, and verify rail hardware. See Injector Components and Fuel Rails & Hardware for the supporting parts commonly replaced.
Note: Professional installation is recommended. Competition use only where permitted by law.
