MBRP M2050S is a universal, high-flow diesel muffler built from T409 stainless steel for long life and the classic MBRP tone. It features a 5" inlet/outlet, a 24" body, and a 31" overall length to integrate cleanly into most 5" exhaust systems. Louvred-core design accelerates gas flow while maintaining backpressure control for drivability.
Fitment
- Universal for 5" exhaust systems (5" ID/OD connections). Verify available straight length for 31" overall and 6" case diameter before ordering.
- Common on upgraded 5" systems for Dodge/Ram Cummins, GM Duramax, and Ford Power Stroke platforms.

Will this fit my truck?
It’s a universal 5" muffler. If your system uses 5" tubing and has at least 31" of straight section (plus room for clamps/welds), it will fit. Always measure your existing space.
How loud is the M2050S compared to Quiet Tone?
M2050S uses a louvred high-flow core and produces the classic MBRP sound. If you want a deeper but quieter note with more drone reduction, consider the M2220A Quiet Tone.
Do I need clamps or can I weld it?
Either works. For serviceability, use quality 5" band clamps like L50AA or BC500A. Welding is also acceptable if you don’t anticipate future removal.
Is this stainless or aluminized?
M2050S is T409 stainless steel. If you prefer aluminized steel at a lower price point, see the M2220A (quieter) or the MDA531 (straight pipe).
