Yes. The PhatShaft 62 uses an HX40-style outlet. A 4" HX40 downpipe is required for proper fitment and exhaust sealing.

At minimum, use a high-flow air filter/intake, free-flowing exhaust, and ensure your lift pump and fuel system are healthy. For higher power, consider upgraded injectors and tuning appropriate to your year/engine.

Tuning isn’t strictly required for basic operation, but proper calibration and fueling upgrades will maximize performance and keep EGTs in check.
