FAQ
Will this work on my 1998.5–2002 24-valve VP44 truck?No. This kit is ONLY for P7100-equipped 12-valve trucks (1994–1998). VP44 and later CP3 platforms use different solutions.
Do I need upgraded valve springs?Strongly recommended. Industrial Injection advises 150 lb springs to prevent valve float above ~3,200 RPM, especially with bigger turbos.
Will my idle or governor settings change?Yes, plan to reset idle and verify governor settings after installation. A knowledgeable P-pump tuner/installer is recommended.
Is this daily-drivable?Yes. The 4K kit keeps great street manners while allowing the engine to pull cleanly to higher RPM for towing and performance.
