FAQ
Do I still need the factory fuel filter after installing a FASS system?
No. Once a FASS filtration system is installed and plumbed correctly, the factory canister can be removed and replaced with this DFD4000 delete. Always follow the FASS plumbing diagram for your system.
Will this improve fuel flow or MPG?
Deleting the OE canister removes a restriction and reduces service costs. Any MPG gains are application-dependent, but many owners appreciate simpler service and cleaner routing once the FASS system is handling filtration.
Which FASS filters should I stock with a Titanium/Titanium Signature system?
Use the PF3001 (suction) and XWS3002 (pressure), or the extended-length PF3001XL and XWS3002XL. Filter packs are available: FP3000 and FP3000XL.
Is any tuning required after installing the DFD4000?
No tuning is required. Verify there are no leaks, prime the system per the FASS manual, and confirm proper pressure/flow.
