Product Description
The BD DIESEL 1064182F TowMaster 47RE Transmission is a heavy-duty performance-built transmission engineered for 2000–2002 Dodge Ram 5.9L Cummins 2WD trucks that tow, haul, and work hard. The factory 47RE was designed for stock output, but under towing loads and added power it can suffer from slip, heat, and premature clutch wear. The TowMaster transmission is built to dramatically increase durability and holding power with key internal upgrades, increased line pressure, and improved lubrication strategies.
This transmission package includes BD’s rigid aluminum heavy-duty transmission pan and an auxiliary full-flow filter kit for added protection. The valve body is reworked for higher apply pressures and improved clutch holding, while key internal enhancements reduce friction and help control heat. Every unit is dyno tested prior to shipping to confirm operation in all gears.
