Product Description
The BD DIESEL 1036772 E-PAS Positive Air Shut-Off Heavy Duty is a purpose-built safety solution designed for Volvo D13 and Mack MP8 diesel engines from 2017–2023. In rare but dangerous diesel engine runaway conditions, external fumes or hydrocarbons entering the intake can cause catastrophic overspeeding. The E-PAS system helps prevent that by automatically shutting off the intake air supply to the engine when triggered, protecting life and equipment.
This heavy-duty E-PAS kit uses the existing factory connectors, sensors, and intake valve, and installs quickly with the included wiring harness and mounting hardware. Once activated, the unit cuts the air supply by controlling the electronic throttle body mounted in the intake manifold, stopping the engine in emergency situations. After shutdown, the unit automatically resets and can be conveniently removed after lease returns or if service is needed.
