The BD DIESEL 1036761 E-PAS Positive Air Shut-Off is a critical safety device engineered for Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 6.6L Duramax L5P trucks (2017–2023) including 2500HD and 3500HD models, and 2019–2023 4500HD, 5500HD, and 6500HD models. Designed to protect your engine and truck in rare but dangerous diesel engine runaway events, the E-PAS shuts off air supply to the engine by controlling the intake air shut-off valve.

In a diesel runaway situation, external hydrocarbons drawn into the engine can cause uncontrollable overspeeding and catastrophic engine failure. The E-PAS safely interrupts incoming air by commanding the factory intake control system to close, stopping ignition and bringing the engine to a halt. This system installs easily using factory plug-in connectors and premade wiring harnesses, and automatically resets after shutdown. It’s also simple to remove for lease returns or resale use.
