The BD DIESEL 1036756 E-PAS Positive Air Shut-Off is an electronic emergency engine shutdown designed specifically for the 2018–2021 Ford F-150 3.0L Power Stroke. In rare but dangerous diesel engine runaway scenarios caused when external hydrocarbons enter the engine and lead to overspeeding, this system safely cuts off intake air to shut down the engine before catastrophic damage or injury occurs.
The E-PAS unit uses the factory intake air control valve and electronic throttle system to close airflow when triggered. Designed for easy installation, it uses factory plug-in connections and premade wiring harnesses, saving hours of labor compared with mechanical systems. Once activated, the system automatically resets and does not trigger ECM trouble codes, and it can be removed easily if needed for lease returns or service.
