The BD DIESEL 1036753 E-PAS Positive Air Shut-Off is an essential safety upgrade for 2019–2024 Dodge/Ram trucks equipped with the 6.7L Cummins turbodiesel engine. Designed to prevent diesel engine runaway — a rare but dangerous condition where external hydrocarbons are drawn into the engine causing uncontrolled overspeeding — this unit provides an electronic emergency shutdown by cutting off the intake air supply to the engine.
This Electronic Positive Air Shutdown (E-PAS) system interfaces with the factory intake air control electronics and closes the throttle body in emergency situations to safely stop the engine. It installs in approximately 1–1.5 hours using factory plug-in connectors and premade wiring harnesses, and automatically resets after activation. The unit is easily removed if the vehicle is leased or returned.
