The BD DIESEL 1030060 60lb Valve Spring Kit is a proven valvetrain upgrade for 1988–1998 Dodge 5.9L Cummins 12-valve engines. Whether you’re installing an exhaust brake, building for higher RPM, or upgrading your fueling with a P7100 pump, these springs help control valve motion to prevent premature opening and reduce valve float under load.
This kit includes a set of six (6) 60lb springs that can be used on either the intake or exhaust valves depending on your build goals. Install them on the exhaust valves to help stop the valve from opening prematurely when using an exhaust brake, or on the intake side to control valve float when running higher RPM setups. If you are installing an exhaust brake and a high-RPM P7100 kit at the same time, two (2) kits are required to cover both intake and exhaust springs.
