    Should be a bottoming tap

Posted by Chuck Hill on Sep 27th 2019

I only bought this to make my the rest of my $149.95 order over $150 so I could get free shipping. I could have bought this tap for $15 at a machine tool supply distributor in town, but I paid $30 for it just to save $20 on shipping. It does not clean out the bottom of a hole as delivered, but you can fix that by grinding off most of the tapered end of the tap to convert it to a bottoming tap. Just your average tap in a nice ARP blister-wrap package.
