Boost bottom-end clamping force and protect your block threads with the ARP 247-5401 MAIN STUD KIT for late ’97–’06 5.9L Cummins (2-bolt main) and builds where the factory stiffener/girdle is not used. Manufactured from premium 8740 chromoly and heat-treated to a rated tensile strength of ~190,000 psi, this kit delivers the stability serious tow, street, and competition engines demand. Includes studs, 12-point nuts, and washers with ARP Ultra-Torque lube for consistent preload.
If your build retains the Cummins factory block stiffener (girdle), use the matched ARP kit: ARP 247-5405 (6.7L with factory girdle) or ARP 247-5403 (’03–’18 5.9/6.7 with stiffener).
For cylinder head sealing under boost, pair with ARP 247-4202 head studs or step up to ARP 247-4204 (625+). Keep the crank damper secured with ARP 147-2502 damper bolts and upgrade the rods with ARP 247-6303 rod bolts.
WHAT ENGINES DOES ARP 247-5401 FIT?
Late ’97–’06 Dodge/Ram 5.9L Cummins 24V with 2-bolt mains. It is intended for builds that do not use the factory block stiffener/girdle. If your 6.7L (’07.5+) retains the girdle, use 247-5405. If your 2003–2018 build has the stiffener, use 247-5403.
