Custom-built Common Rail 5.9L Cummins crate engine for your 03-07 Dodge Ram. Each engine is blueprinted and built from a strong core using only new Mahle pistons and Clevite bearings.
All CPP engines are built using only top quality parts from manufacturers like Mahle, Clevite, Interstate McBee, and Cummins Genuine Parts only. We take pride in our builds and will not use Chinese parts which are known for high failure rates to save a buck!
PISTONS ARE REPLACED IN OUR ENGINES! WE DO NOT REUSE PISTONS LIKE OTHER BUILDERS!
Cylinders are bored in a CNC Machining center & honed. Main bearing saddles are align honed or align bored to OEM specs. We do not try and repair blocks with "spun" main bearings. If your core has a spun main bearing, it will not be accepted as a useable core. Customer would be responsible to supply a good block or purchase one from CPP when available. Block decks are resurfaced flat. We do not use head gasket "shims" to correct block height errors. Crankshafts are heat treated and shot peened to relieve casting stresses, and machined to CPP Specs on rod & main journals. No welded crankshaft journals! Connecting rods are also heat treated, shot peened and machined to OEM specifications. We do not try to recondition rods with "spun" bearings. If your rods have spun bearings, do not send them to CPP because we do not accept them as a useable core. Cylinder heads are remanufactured to exceed OEM specifications. Valve guides are replaced & honed. Head gasket surfaces are refinished to ensure a proper gasket seal. We do not use bronze valve guide liners like most production rebuilders as they will commonly fail. We replace the valve guide we do not try to repair it. Every CPP engine is built to our specs and those of manufacturer of aftermarket parts. Mahle ring clearances are set to tighter specs than oem Cummins pistons by design to achieve maximum engine life. CPP uses Clevite bearings in our engines and we have had great success with Clevite products. Your core must have no visible holes or cracks, no broken crankshaft or rods, no dropped valves, & must rotate 360 degrees.

Engine must be shipped to a business location where a loading dock or forklift is available for unloading. A truck with a liftgate can be sent for an additional charge each way to a residence or location with no fork lift available.
