FAQ
Will this hold towing at higher GCW?Within its ~425 HP / ~900 ft-lb rating, it performs well for street/tow duty when the rest of the drivetrain is healthy. Downshift as needed to manage EGT and clutch load.
Does it fit NV5600 HO trucks?
No. HO trucks (≈2000.5–2005.5) typically use a 1-3/8" input and different clutch specs. This kit is for Non-HO NV5600 (≈1999–2000.5) with 1.25" input.
Is a new flywheel required?
Many Getrag/NV4500/NV5600 setups benefit from pairing the correct flywheel surface with the disc/pressure plate. Inspect your flywheel and follow South Bend guidance for resurfacing or replacement.
What pedal feel should I expect?
Comparable to a firm OE feel with smoother engagement than aggressive ceramic options—ideal for daily and towing use.
