Product Description
The MOOG DS1413 Front Track Bar is designed to restore steering control and eliminate front axle movement in 1994-2002 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 4WD trucks. Over time the factory track bar can loosen at the pivot point, causing steering wander, vibration, or the well-known Ram “death wobble”. The MOOG Problem Solver design upgrades the OE weak points with a larger ball stud, stronger bearing surfaces, and a heavy-duty steel bar to handle the lateral loads produced by large truck tires and suspension travel.
Built for durability and long service life, the DS1413 features a greaseable socket assembly that allows fresh lubricant to flush contaminants, reducing wear and extending service intervals. The heavy-duty forged construction also increases strength in high-stress areas to maintain proper axle alignment and improve steering feel.

FAQ
What does a track bar do on a Dodge Ram?The track bar (also called a panhard bar) keeps the front axle centered under the truck. When it wears out, the axle can shift side-to-side, causing steering instability, vibration, and wandering.
Will this fix steering wander or death wobble?
A worn track bar is one of the most common causes of steering wander or “death wobble” on 2nd-gen Dodge Rams. Replacing the worn component with a heavy-duty unit like the MOOG DS1413 often restores proper steering stability.
Is the MOOG DS1413 adjustable?
No. The DS1413 is a direct-fit OE-style replacement track bar designed for stock ride height suspension.
Does this track bar require lubrication?
Yes. The greaseable fitting allows fresh grease to be added during service intervals to flush contaminants and extend the life of the ball stud and socket assembly.
Does this fit lifted trucks?
This part is designed for stock suspension height. Lifted trucks may require an adjustable aftermarket track bar for proper axle alignment.
