Product Description
Race-ready durability for your 6.6L Duramax bottom end. INDUSTRIAL INJECTION PDM-MS-2218HC is a coated, H-Series main bearing set engineered for high load, high RPM builds. Based on proven Clevite/MAHLE H-Series geometry with medium eccentricity, high crush, and enlarged chamfers for crank fillet clearance, then finished with a performance coating to help protect during cold starts and transient oil-film events.

Helpful Notes
- Verify main housing bore, journal size, and bearing clearances during assembly. HX (+.001") sets are often used when extra oil clearance is needed.
- Use the correct thrust washer set (TW-610S) when servicing thrust.
- Pair with quality main studs and proper line-hone for best cap alignment and bearing life.
FAQ
What’s the difference between H, HX, and this coated HC set?H-Series is the baseline performance geometry. HX adds about +.001" oil clearance. HC denotes a performance coating applied to the H-Series shells for added scuff protection.
Do these include thrust washers? No. Order MAHLE TW-610S separately if you are servicing the thrust bearing.
Will these fit all 2001–2016 Duramax engines?Yes—LB7, LLY, LBZ, LMM, and LML platforms. Always measure and confirm clearances for your specific crank and block.
When should I choose HX (+.001") instead?Use HX when your target oil clearance is on the tight side due to crank specs, housing bore, coating thickness, or intended use.
