FAQ
Is this a complete engine? No. It is an unassembled short block kit (block, rotating assembly, cam, girdle, bearings, plugs, etc.). Cylinder head, fuel, turbo, and external accessories are not included.
Do I need head studs with this build? For performance/boosted setups, head studs are strongly recommended to prevent head gasket issues. See ARP kits linked above.
What oil should I use for break-in?Industrial Injection specifies Joe Gibbs break-in oil for the first 300–500 miles. Change oil and filter after break-in.
Does it include tuning or fuel system parts? No. You’ll reuse or upgrade the VP44 fuel system and turbo separately. See our VP44 pumps category for options.
