FAQ
What does “CC” mean on this part number?“CC” indicates the Coated & Chamfered version. These receive skirt/crown coatings and a top-edge chamfer to help reduce scuffing and heat stress in hard-use builds.
Are these truly drop-in?The set includes rings, pins, and clips, but a .040" overbore/hone and precise measurements are required for correct clearances.
Why the Marine Big Bowl? The larger bowl improves air/fuel mixing and can support cleaner combustion and EGT control under load compared to small-bowl designs.
Which supporting mods are recommended?Head studs, fresh head gasket(s), quality ring sets, adequate fuel supply and cooling. Consider fly-cutting for high-lift cams.
