This spacer is ideal when a T4 turbo sits too low in the engine valley or interferes with manifolds, up-pipes, or chassis components. Fleece recommends using a new T4 gasket on the top and bottom of the spacer for a proper seal (gaskets not included).

It lifts the turbocharger 1.0 inch higher while maintaining a T4 flange interface. This extra height helps clear tight engine valleys, custom manifolds, and piping, especially on Duramax T4 conversions and other cramped installs. 

No. While it’s commonly used on 2001–2013 GM Duramax 6.6L platforms with T4 turbo kits, the design is universal for any T4 flange as long as there is space and the rest of the system is compatible.

Yes. A new T4 gasket should be used on both the top and bottom of the spacer to ensure a proper seal and prevent exhaust leaks. Gaskets are typically not included. 

In many custom builds, this spacer is used along with T4 adapter plates, turbo drain adapters, and discharge adapters. Always confirm turbo position, hood and cowl clearance, and driveline angles before stacking multiple components.

The primary function is physical clearance, not altering turbo maps. However, gaining room for better routing of charge pipes, downpipes, and heat shielding can improve overall system reliability and consistency in high-performance setups.
