How the AlliLocker Works

In normal mode, the transmission behaves like stock and the TCM retains full control of the torque converter clutch (TCC). When you engage bypass mode, the AlliLocker reroutes control so the TCC is commanded by the dedicated lockup button. This gives you precise control of converter lockup during a pass or pull, improving efficiency and reducing slip. Turning bypass off returns full control back to the TCM.

No. The AlliLocker is intended for closed course race use only and is not designed for public roadways. Using it on the street can set diagnostic codes or range inhibit and may be illegal in some areas. 

When used correctly on the track with a single lock event, the AlliLocker is designed to be 100% code free. Multiple lock/unlock events under certain conditions can trigger Allison diagnostic reasoning and set a DTC. Typically, a key cycle will clear a range inhibit caused by improper use. 

Custom tuning is not required for basic operation. The AlliLocker simply intercepts torque converter clutch control when bypass mode is enabled and returns control to the TCM when bypass is turned off.
