Product Description
CUMMINS 3977063 OEM CYLINDER HEAD GASKET (STANDARD THICKNESS) – RAM 5.9L 24V (1998.5–2002)
The genuine CUMMINS 3977063 OEM cylinder head gasket is the factory-standard MLS (Multi-Layer Steel) gasket engineered specifically for the 1998.5–2002 5.9L 24-valve ISB. If you are rebuilding your top end, repairing injector cup issues, or refreshing an aging high-mileage ISB, using an OEM head gasket is the only way to guarantee factory-correct sealing, durability, and combustion containment. Cheaper aftermarket copies cannot match Cummins engineering tolerances, heat cycling resilience, or coating formulation.
This gasket is the standard thickness version, ensuring proper piston protrusion, injector spray targeting, and quench characteristics on stock-spec engines. It is recommended for all rebuilds where the deck and head have not been significantly machined. For performance or high-boost builds, consult Cummins upgraded gasket options or additional head-fastening solutions.
CPP Diesel supplies only 100% genuine Cummins head gaskets, ensuring you receive the correct MLS layer count, embossed sealing rings, and corrosion-resistant coating required for long-term durability.

not installed yet BUT....
I bought one of these not to long ago due to having to do a cheap emergency repair back in october then as i planned 6 months later I had to do it again. This time i got the head surfaced new gasket, arp studs. 3 months down the road I am already doing it again. I am honestly hoping it was a Defective gasket, so here I am again doing it for a 3 rd time in less than a year. Hopefully this will be the last time for another 300k miles or more.
