Popular Build Paths
Single T6 Upgrade: Requires a T6 manifold and matching downpipe; later spool than T4 but delivers strong top-end flow for big-fuel builds.
Compounds (S300/S400): Use 171702 as the low-pressure (atmospheric) charger with an S300 high-pressure turbo for fast spool + big air volume.

FAQ
Will the 171702 bolt onto my factory manifold?
No. The 171702 uses a T6 twin-scroll inlet. Most light-duty platforms use T3/T4. You’ll need a T6 manifold and appropriate downpipe/charge piping.
Is this a street-friendly single?
On stock or mild fueling, spool will be later than smaller-frame turbos. It excels on high-horsepower singles and as the atmospheric charger in compounds.
What are the inlet/outlet connections?
5.0" compressor inlet, V-band compressor outlet, and a Half-Marmon turbine outlet.
Do I need an oil restrictor?
Generally, journal-bearing S400s do not use a restrictor. Use a clean, properly sized feed and a free-draining -10AN to -12AN return; verify oil pressure.
Can CPP help spec a full kit?
Absolutely. We’ll match manifolds, gates, and an S300 high-pressure unit to meet your power, towing, or racing goals.
