The BD DIESEL 2001102 Variable Vane Exhaust Brake harnesses the variable geometry turbocharger on 2011–2014 Ford 6.7L Power Stroke engines to generate significant engine braking force. When the vane control system electronically closes the turbine vanes, it produces retarding horsepower that helps slow the vehicle and maintain better speed control on descents and steep grades.
