The BD DIESEL 1064742 TowMaster Allison 1000 Transmission is a heavy-duty, towing-focused replacement transmission built for 2006–2007 GM 6.6L Duramax LBZ trucks equipped with the Allison 1000 6-speed and 4WD. The factory Allison is capable for stock power levels, but once the truck is subjected to towing, work use, and higher torque demand, common weak points begin to show. BD’s TowMaster transmission is engineered to increase durability, improve clutch holding power, and maintain consistent shift quality under load.
This transmission includes BD’s proven upgrades such as revised oil circuits, high-energy frictions, increased clutch capacity, and improved hydraulic control components that deliver stronger apply pressure to the clutch packs. Every unit is dyno tested and includes the BD rigid aluminum deep transmission pan to increase oil capacity and help stabilize operating temps during towing and hard-use conditions.
