The BD DIESEL 1064622 Roadmaster 10R80 Transmission is a heavy-duty reliability upgrade for 2018–2020 Ford F-150 5.0L V8 2WD trucks equipped with the factory 10R80 transmission. Built for stock and mildly modified applications, this Roadmaster unit is engineered to correct common OEM weaknesses and deliver smoother operation, quicker shifts, and long-term durability for towing, hauling, fleet use, and daily driving.
This Roadmaster transmission includes major internal improvements designed to eliminate the shift delays and flare conditions common with failing 10R80 units. A revised CDF drum design prevents sleeve movement and fluid pathway blockages that cause harsh shifts and inconsistent engagement. A modified valve body increases line pressure for improved clutch holding power. Additional durability upgrades are built in to enhance longevity under real-world load and heat conditions.
