The factory E4OD was designed for stock output, but under towing, hauling, high-heat, and daily work use it can quickly become a weak link. BD’s TowMaster solution is built with upgraded hard parts, improved lubrication, and increased clutch capacity to deliver stronger shifts, improved durability, and dependable performance where a stock rebuild falls short.
This TowMaster unit includes key internal improvements such as upgraded clutch packs and steels, stronger planetaries, enhanced valve body calibration for improved clutch apply, and upgraded lubrication circuits designed to keep critical components alive under heavy load. A BD heavy-duty pan improves rigidity and heat control, helping reduce case flex and maintain more consistent pressure under demanding conditions.
