The BD DIESEL 1064204SS Roadmaster 48RE Transmission and Converter Package is a complete, fully remanufactured transmission solution built for 2005–2007 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 trucks equipped with the 5.9L Cummins and 48RE automatic transmission (4WD). Designed to improve reliability, shift quality, and overall drivability, this package addresses common 48RE weaknesses while delivering consistent performance for daily driving, towing, and work-truck use.
This Roadmaster transmission includes a modified BD Valve Body with critical upgrades to improve shift control and extend transmission life. The valve body features a new heavy-duty governor pressure solenoid along with an upgraded governor pressure transducer kit with increased burst pressure over stock. Increased line pressure helps reduce clutch slip and improves holding power under load, while the included BD Deep Sump Oil Pan increases fluid capacity and improves cooling for extended durability. Every Roadmaster 48RE package is paired with a BD ProForce Torque Converter engineered for improved efficiency, reduced heat, and stronger response for street and towing applications.
