The BD DIESEL 1064184F TowMaster 47RE Transmission is a heavy-duty replacement transmission built for 2000–2002 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 4WD trucks equipped with the 5.9L Cummins and the factory 47RE automatic. The stock 47RE was designed around factory power levels — but towing, added horsepower, oversized tires, and daily work use can quickly expose weak points. The TowMaster is engineered to dramatically increase durability, shift control, and clutch holding power so your truck stays reliable under load.
This TowMaster transmission includes key internal upgrades such as a modified valve body for stronger clutch apply, increased line pressure for improved holding power, rollerized geartrain improvements, billet band components, and revised lubrication circuits for long service life. Each transmission includes BD’s rigid aluminum heavy-duty pan with cooling fins and a magnetic drain plug, and is built to deliver stronger, more consistent shifting without shuttle-shift problems. A refundable core charge applies.
