The BD DIESEL 1064144SS Roadmaster 48RE Transmission and Converter Package is a complete, fully remanufactured drivetrain upgrade for 2003–2004 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 trucks equipped with the 5.9L Cummins and 4WD. Designed to improve shift quality, increase durability, and handle towing and work loads with confidence, this Roadmaster package delivers stronger clutch holding power, more consistent line pressure, and smoother converter performance compared to a worn factory 48RE.
This Roadmaster transmission features an upgraded BD Valve Body engineered to eliminate shuttle shifting, improve shift feel, and extend transmission life. The valve body includes a heavy-duty governor pressure solenoid and an upgraded pressure transducer kit built with twice the burst pressure of stock. With increased line pressure (190–200 psi), improved clutch control, and key internal durability enhancements, this package is built for reliable daily driving, towing, and commercial use. Every unit is dyno tested before it leaves BD.
