The BD DIESEL 1064142SS Roadmaster 48RE Transmission and Converter Package is a heavy-duty, fully remanufactured transmission solution for 2003–2004 Dodge Ram 5.9L Cummins 2WD trucks equipped with the 48RE automatic. Designed to correct common factory weaknesses and deliver stronger shift quality, this Roadmaster package includes critical upgrades that improve clutch holding power, cooling capacity, and overall drivetrain durability for towing, hauling, and daily driving.
This Roadmaster transmission features the BD Valve Body with proven modifications to improve shift control and extend transmission life. The valve body includes an upgraded heavy-duty governor pressure solenoid and an upgraded governor pressure transducer kit engineered for increased strength. Line pressure is raised to approximately 190–200 PSI for improved clutch apply pressure and reduced slip under load. A BD deep sump oil pan increases fluid capacity and cooling, and every transmission package includes a matching BD ProForce torque converter optimized for street and towing applications.
