High transmission fluid temperatures and limited fluid capacity can shorten transmission life, especially when towing, hauling, or operating under heavy-duty commercial use. This deep sump pan increases fluid volume and improves cooling efficiency to help maintain stable transmission temps under load.
The BD deep sump pan features heavy-duty cast aluminum construction with internal and external heat-sink fins designed to transfer heat from transmission fluid into ambient air. It holds an additional 6 quarts over stock while maintaining factory ground clearance by keeping the pan above the frame rails. Increased pan rigidity also helps prevent case twisting, and a large magnetic drain plug captures debris during routine maintenance for added protection. A pre-drilled and tapped temperature sending unit port is included for easy temperature monitoring.
