The BD DIESEL 1036764 E-PAS Positive Air Shut-Off is a critical safety upgrade for 2017–2023 GM 6.6L L5P Duramax powered Silverado and Sierra trucks. Designed to immediately cut off intake airflow during a runaway event, the E-PAS system helps protect engines from catastrophic damage caused by uncontrolled fueling, oil ingestion, or turbo failure.
Unlike mechanical shutdown systems, the BD E-PAS unit is electronically actuated and integrates cleanly into the factory intake path. In the event of an overspeed or emergency shutdown trigger, the valve instantly closes to starve the engine of air, allowing the engine to safely shut down even if fuel control has been lost.
