The BD DIESEL 1036730-M Positive Air Shut-Off is a manually controlled intake air shutdown valve engineered for diesel applications using 3.0-inch intake piping. Designed to act like a failsafe for diesel engine runaway conditions, the PAS (Positive Air Shut-Off) cuts off the air supply to the engine when activated, rapidly stopping combustion and safely shutting down the engine. This system provides peace of mind in extreme service environments where external fuel sources or hydrocarbons can cause uncontrolled engine overspeed.
The butterfly valve is placed inline in the intake system and controlled manually via a heavy duty solenoid and locking safety cam.
