The BD DIESEL 1036712-M Positive Air Shut-Off (Manual Controlled) is an emergency safety system designed to quickly and effectively shut down the engine on Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500/3500 trucks equipped with the 6.6L Duramax LLY, LBZ, or LMM diesel engine (2004.5–2010). In rare engine runaway scenarios—caused by external hydrocarbons entering the intake—the Positive Air Shut-Off cuts air supply to the engine, stopping combustion and protecting both vehicle and operator.
This manual Positive Air Shut-Off features a heavy-duty butterfly valve positioned in the intake system that is activated by a robust electrical solenoid and locking mechanism. Made from corrosion-resistant aluminum and stainless components with weatherproof connectors, the system installs without welding using bead boot locks. CAC pipes are included where required for fitment.
