The BD DIESEL 1031369 TapShifter / Exhaust Brake gives drivers of Ford F250 and F350 pickups equipped with the 6.0L Power Stroke engine (2003–2007) direct manual control over transmission gear selection and integrated exhaust braking. This combination system allows you to access all five forward gears at the tap of a button while adding significant retarding force when descending hills or towing heavy loads.
The TapShifter includes a factory-style shift lever with +/- selector, a compact gear display, and premade wiring harnesses for straightforward installation. It works with Ford’s 5R110 TorqShift automatic transmission to limit or manually select gears, reduce gear hunting, enhance throttle control, and use the turbocharger’s variable vane technology as an exhaust brake that can deliver up to approximately 70 psi of backpressure for improved control on descents.
