The BD DIESEL 1030390 AutoLoc Exhaust Brake Converter Control is designed to dramatically improve exhaust brake effectiveness by automatically locking the torque converter whenever the exhaust brake is applied. Without converter lockup, much of the braking force is lost through converter slippage. AutoLoc ensures that engine braking force is transferred directly to the drivetrain for maximum downhill control.
AutoLoc works seamlessly with BD Diesel and other exhaust brake systems by sensing exhaust brake activation and commanding torque converter lockup automatically—no driver input required. This results in stronger braking, reduced brake wear, lower transmission temperatures during descents, and improved vehicle control while towing heavy loads.
