Product Description
Build your 7.3L the right way. The ARP 900-1300 Tapered Piston Ring Compressor is CNC-machined from 6061-T6 billet and Type III anodized for durability. Its true-radius, size-specific design slides your piston and rings smoothly into a 4.130" (.020 over) cylinder—perfect for 1994–2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke engine builds. Faster installs, less ring distortion, and repeatable results—exactly what you expect from ARP.
Pair this tool with proven ARP hardware to finish your build strong: ARP 250-5801 Main Stud Kit, or choose alternate ring compressor sizes like ARP 900-1100 (4.110" STD bore), ARP 900-0550 (4.055"), or ARP 900-2125 (4.2125").
WHAT ENGINES DOES THIS FIT?
Designed for engines with a 4.130" bore. Common use: 1994–2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke builds at .020" over.
WHY A TAPERED, SIZE-SPECIFIC COMPRESSOR?
The true-radius taper centers the piston and uniformly compresses rings, reducing the chance of ring snagging and speeding installation.
WHAT MATERIAL/FINISH DOES ARP USE?
6061-T6 billet aluminum with hard (Type III) anodizing for long service life.
DO I NEED LUBE?
Lightly oil the compressor and cylinder wall; follow your ring manufacturer’s install guidance.
