- ARP2000 material with black-oxide finish and hardened parallel washers.
- 12-point nuts; uses 14mm 12-pt socket and 5mm Allen (for installation).
- Ideal for tuned trucks, heavy towing, compounds/singles, and high cylinder pressure builds.

FAQ
Q: Do I need head studs on a tuned or towing 6.7L?
A: Yes—studs provide higher, repeatable clamping vs. factory TTY bolts to help prevent head-gasket issues under added boost.
Q: What’s the difference between 247-4202 and 247-4204?
A: 247-4202 uses ARP2000 material and is great for most builds; 247-4204 (625+) is for extreme cylinder pressures and competition use.
Q: Does this kit include the long exhaust-row studs?
A: Yes—this kit includes the longer studs for the exhaust side as specified by ARP.
Q: Which lube and sockets do I need?
A: Use ARP Ultra-Torque during installation. You’ll need a 14mm 12-point socket and a 5mm Allen for the studs.
Q: Is this CARB-regulated?
A: Fasteners are not emissions parts; no EO is required. Observe local regulations.

Hold that head down
I have always been a believer in head studs vs head bolts. ARP provides options for head studs, depending on the level of your build. I am confident that the head studs will keep my head secured.

The extra security....
Makes it completely worth the investment. My set was missing a long stud, BUT when I informed CPP and ARP about the incident they both jumped all over it and took care of it within 24 hours, at my door, ready for install.
