FAQ
What’s the difference between DF-100-5G, DF-165-5G, and DF-220-5G?These indicate the pump’s flow rating (100/165/220 GPH). Choose DF-100 for stock to mildly tuned trucks, DF-165 for larger injectors/tunes and regular towing, and DF-220 for high-horsepower builds. Match flow to your power goals for best pressure stability.
Does this replace my factory filter housing?
The II-5G mounts on the frame and feeds the injection pump with regulated, de-aerated fuel. It is commonly plumbed to bypass parts of the factory filter housing; follow the model-specific instructions provided by AirDog®.
Is any tuning required after installing the II-5G?
No tuning is required for installation. However, if you’ve changed injectors, turbo, or added power, ensure your fuel system (flow and pressure) matches your setup.
Will this help my CP3 and injectors last longer?
Providing clean, air-free fuel at stable pressure reduces cavitation and helps protect high-pressure components, which can improve longevity and drivability.
What maintenance is required?
Replace the water separator and fuel filter at the intervals recommended by AirDog® (or sooner in harsh conditions). Check hoses, clamps, and wiring during routine services.
