The AirDog A7SABD540 II-5G DF-165-5G is a 165 GPH air/fuel separation system engineered for 1989–1993 Dodge/Ram 2500/3500 with the 5.9L 12-valve VE (VE44) Cummins. It mounts to the frame with the included sandwich-plate system, pulls fuel through a high-flow suction tube, removes entrained air/vapor and water, then sends clean, pressurized fuel straight to the injection pump.

DF-165-5G (165 GPH) comfortably supports stock to moderately modified VE-pump builds on 1989–1993 trucks. For lighter builds or daily drivers, consider the DF-100-5G cross-reference above.
Does it replace the factory mechanical lift pump?
Yes. The II-5G supplies regulated pressure directly to the injection pump and bypasses the factory mechanical pump and filter head per the installation manual.
What is the preset fuel pressure?
The II-5G for this application is preset around 13 psi and uses an adjustable diaphragm regulator (see installation manual for adjustment procedure).
What maintenance is required?
Replace the fuel filter and water separator at regular service intervals or when restriction is noted. Common service parts include FF100-10 (fuel filter) and WS100 (water separator).
Is drilling the frame required?
No. The included sandwich-plate bracket mounts the assembly to the frame rail as outlined in the instructions.
